Abhishek Sharma's mentor and cricketing legend Yuvraj Singh lavished praise on the Sunrisers Hyderabad opener for his hard-hitting century Punjab Kings (PBKS). Abhishek smashed 141 runs off 55 balls while chasing a mammoth total of 246 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. 

Yuvraj Singh mentioned Abhishek's move to take singles while playing on 99 and 99 and labeled it a mature knock. He also lauded  SRH's opening partnership and Shreyas Iyer's 82 off 36 run knock.

Apart from smashing a century, Abhishek also shared a 171-run partnership with destructive batter Travis Head as SRH made a mockery of the mammoth run chase to register a dominating eight-wicket win against PBKS.

SRH scored 247 for 2 with nine balls to spare. Abhishek smashed 141 off 55 deliveries, including 14 fours and 10 sixes, while Head made 66 off 37 balls as the duo undid the good work done by Punjab Kings' captain Shreyas Iyer, who hit a 36-ball 82 after electing to bat first.

Abhishek also became the third-highest scorer in IPL history behind Chris Gayle (175 not out) and Brendon McCullum (158 not out).
