BCCI call for an all captains meeting,

The captains of every Indian Premier League (IPL) team will convene in Mumbai for a crucial preseason meeting, this Thursday. The meeting would be held at noon at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters, as per a Cricbuzz report. The managers of each of the ten teams have also been invited to attend in addition to the captains.

The meeting, which is more of a briefing, will take place at the Cricket Centre and run for an hour, according to emails that the BCCI/IPL management sent to the franchisees. The teams will be updated on the new additions and modifications for the forthcoming season during this period. The Taj Hotel will host sponsor activities after the briefing.

The program will run for four hours in total, and it will end with the traditional picture shoot that includes all of the captains. These meetings, along with the picture shoots, usually take place in the city where the season opening is held. The fact that the session is being placed at the BCCI office this time, though, raises the possibility that there is more going on here than the routine review of the regulations.

All of the teams' captains have been announced, and the Delhi Capitals' new captain is Axar Patel. Pat Cummins (SRH), Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK), Rajat Patidar (RCB), Rishabh Pant (LSG), Shreyas Iyer (PBKS), Sanju Samson (RR), Ajinkya Rahane (KKR), Hardik Pandya (MI), and Shubman Gill (GT) are the other nine captains.

According to the most recent reports from different camps, the majority of leaders and players who competed in the Champions Trophy have reported to their respective teams. On Sunday, Pat Cummins landed in Hyderabad. Even though the World Test Championship final begins at Lord's on June 11—just two weeks after the IPL final on May 25—the captain of Australia has promised complete availability for the season. On March 22, the champion Kolkata Knight Riders will play the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden in Kolkata to kick off the IPL.
