B Praak will be seen performing live ahead of the key clash

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has planned a special tribute to the Indian armed forces before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match scheduled for today, Thursday, between the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in Dharamshala. As part of this initiative, the distinguished singer and composer B Praak will perform live, celebrating the courage of India's military personnel and showcasing the country's vibrant cultural landscape. The HPCA Stadium is expected to be filled with soulful music and inspiring anthems, creating an atmosphere imbued with patriotic fervor for the evening's event.

“Dharamshala, get ready to sing with pride! B Praak brings the nation's sound on a night of patriotism and notes echoing India’s spirit. With soulful melodies and powerful anthems, unite to celebrate our great culture. "A tribute to the heart of Bharat,” read a statement from the IPL.

This tribute from the BCCI follows the Indian Army's recent response to the terror attack that occurred on April 22nd. In the early hours of Wednesday, the Indian military executed a precise operation, known as Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terror sites across the Line of Control in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

In a related gesture of respect and solidarity, the national anthem was played before Wednesday's IPL match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Players and support staff from both teams, along with the match officials, stood together in solemn observance.
