"I told you before the game, there's a cake being baked at home. Excited to have it. Rohit has been a legend, he knows the game. There was a little bit of grip, he told me to play my shots and we did that. I have grown up in the maidans of Mumbai, you play a lot of cricket on red soil. That's where it comes from. As soon as the coach told you are going to bat at No. 3. You can't let Jadeja come on top. He has the experience but I trained for it yesterday. [on the move to No. 3] They were playing a lot of spinners. Important for me to put my hand up and go out. Even if it didn't work, it's okay, I had to take my chance. Important to understand what we want to do right now than look at the points table" said Suryakumar Yadav after MI's nine wicket win.

Coming back to the match, opener Rohit Sharma (76 not out) and Suryakumar Yadav (68 not out) slammed CSK to register a commanding nine-wicket win in a one-sided clash of the tournament. While chasing a below-par target, the hosts faced absolutely no difficulties on a batting-friendly surface in swatting away the challenge as they went over the line, making 177 for one to win by more than four overs to spare, and take a leap to sixth spot in the points table.
