Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as Rajat Patidar won the toss and decided to bowl first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at M Chinnaswamy stadium on April 15. Suspense over Virat Kohli finally ended with him being intact in RCB's playing XI after picking ankle injury during team's last outing versus Mumbai Indians. RCB did make one more change in their playing X by bringing in Josh Hazlewood in place of Jacob Duffy. Meanwhile, LSG did not tinker with their playing XI.
What did the captains say after the toss?
Meanwhile, LSG captain Rishabh Pant, after winning the toss, said:
"We're pretty confident, [it's a] good batting pitch. Regardless of whether we bat first or second, we need to do well. We don't want too much introspection; put trust in your team and do well. There are a lot of leaders in the group, so go out and perform well. Same team for us."
Meanwhile, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar, after losing the toss, said:
"We will bowl first. It's pretty obvious: good surface, bowl first , take the advantage and put them under pressure. No grass on this pitch, looks good. Everyone is doing good for the team - coming at different stages and performing. One change - Hazlewood replaces Duffy.
