Chennai Super Kings will aim to register their first win in the IPL 2026 when they meet Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Saturday, April 11. After facing three straight losses, the Yellow Army could see Dewald Brevis coming back in their lineup who missed previous games due to an injury.

While appearing in Ravichandran Ashwin's YouTube Channel, the 22-year-old batter revealed that he felling quite good as he is doing well in the practice sessions. He also said that it is very hard for him to sit on the sidelines as he is eager to do well in the competition.

"I'm feeling great. For me as an youngster who loves the game, it is tough be on the sidelines," said Dewald Brevis.

 

 

Brevis further issued a warning to the rival team, saying that the time on sidelines made him even more hungry to score big runs.

"But, it has made me more hungry, and I’ve worked on a couple of things off the field in terms of strengthening and I feel good," added Brevis.

After coming off as an injury replacement, Dewald Brevis created an instant impact at the middle order with his powerful shot playing ability. In six outings for the Yellow Army, Brevis amassed 225 runs at an average of 37.50 with a great strike rate of 180.

For his valuable contribution, CSK retained the 22-year-old batter for IPL 2026 for a price of Rs 2.2 crore.
