In a lighthearted exchange, Delhi Capitals batsman KL Rahul brought up an old tweet from his team's coach and former England captain, Kevin Pietersen, regarding the batting technique of the India star. In an entertaining IPL interview conducted by Pietersen himself, KL Rahul reminded the batter of the England legend's tweet equating his batting to being as slow as watching paint dry on a wall after DC defeated Chennai Super Kings on April 5 to secure their third consecutive victory.

With his 77 off 51, KL Rahul helped DC defeat CSK by a crucial 25 runs, but he also made sure to humorously retort Pietersen's tweet, highlighting the batter's extremely slow approach.

"It's better than watching the paint of the wall dry. Exactly. That was your tweet about me one day," KL Rahul told Pietersen.

"Did I say that? Well, I am glad you've changed your game," Pietersen replied.

When it comes to his batting style, KL Rahul has changed since joining DC from the Lucknow Super Giants in the big auction. He began his knock, albeit a brief one of 15 runs, with obvious aggressive purpose after missing the team's inaugural match against his old team LSG because of parental leave.

After CSK's batting squad failed horribly in their 184 chase, he returned to his best against them with a 77-run effort, which ultimately earned him the Player of the Match title.
