RCB vs SRH Today Match Results: Ishan Kishan-inspired Sunrisers Hyderabad salvaged their pride and gunned down Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 42 runs in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the Ekana Cricket stadium on May 23. This defeat also affected RCB's chances of top two finish.

SRH rode on Ishan Kishan's blistering 94-run knock to post a colossal total of 231/6. In reply, RCB were bundled out for 189 despite Phil Salt's lightning 32-ball 62.

RCB slipped to third spot in the updated standings with 17 points as they recorded their fourth defeat in the season. Meanwhile, SRH also remained unmoved at eighth place in the standings with 11 points in 13 games. SRH will next face Kolkata Knight Riders on May 25, while RCB will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 27.

Chasing a target of 232 runs, RCB got off to a flying start, with openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt establishing an 80-run partnership for the first wicket. Salt went on to score a half-century, making 62 runs off just 32 balls, which included four fours and five sixes. Kohli contributed 43 runs off 25 balls. Jitesh Sharma, who was captaining the team in the match, scored 24 runs off 15 balls. However, a subsequent batting collapse led to RCB being bowled out for 189 runs.

For SRH, captain Pat Cummins delivered a brilliant spell, taking 3 wickets for 28 runs in his four overs, while Eshan Malinga picked up two wickets. It was Nitish Kumar Reddy who effectively stemmed the flow of runs with an outstanding spell of 2 wickets for just 13 runs in two overs.

Earlier, Ishan Kishan led Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting charge with an unbeaten 94 runs off just 48 balls, as the team posted a formidable total of 231/6 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Kishan, who had been struggling with the bat since scoring a century in the first match of the season, rediscovered his form, hitting seven fours and five sixes. Abhishek Sharma provided a strong start for SRH, scoring 34 runs off only 17 balls during the powerplay, which included three fours and three sixes. Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma also contributed with quick cameos of 24 and 26 runs, respectively, with Verma's knock coming off just nine balls.

For RCB, Romario Shephard managed to grab two wickets, but he only bowled two overs as he was introduced later in the innings. The rest of the RCB bowlers had a challenging day, conceding boundaries regularly throughout the innings.
