Mumbai Indians (MI) star batter Suryakumar Yadav revealed that his wife Devisha Shetty's presence motivated him to perform and win their clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. MI has bounced back in the playoffs race after registering their fourth consecutive win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. 

After MI's seven-wicket win against SRH, Suryakumar Yadav said his wife Devisha came all the way from Mumbai to watch the match, which motivated the latter to win. 

"She has flow down from Mumbai so what more I need, she was here so we had to win. I think it was really important to come out positive as we were playing good cricket and had to continue the momentum, winning four games on the trot is a great feeling" said Suryakumar Yadav during the post-match presentation. 

 

 

Suryakumar Yadav, who played an unbeaten 40 off 19 runs, a match-winning knock, also gave credit to veteran batter Rohit Sharma for his blazing knock. Rohit, who regained his form against CSK, again played a brilliant 70 off 46 runs knock.

"He made my job really easier, I just had to bat with good tempo and him scoring runs is a really great sign for the team. You keep practising these sweeps in the nets, I want to continue that in the game and I’m really happy with it" added Suryakumar Yadav.

After registering a seven-wicket win, MI surpassed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the points table. MI are currently on third and RCB are behind them with five wins in eight outings. MI will now face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming clash, which is scheduled the take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
