Former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu slammed ex-Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu for his commentary during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between CSK and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Punjab.
The incident happened when former CSK captain MS Dhoni came to bat against PBKS. Rayudu, who is often hail MS Dhoni and his former franchise CSK, said that it seems like the wicketkeeper batter is coming with a sword.
"Aisa lagra hai Talwar lekr are hain Dhoni, bilkul chalega talwar aaj Dhoni ka Talwar chalega. (It looks like Dhoni is carrying a sword; the sword will definitely work. Today Dhoni's sword will work)" said Rayudu during commentary.

Sidhu took his 'X', formerly known as Twitter shared a clip to slam Ambati Rayudu for his words during the PBKS vs CSK IPL 2025 clash.
"Dhoni Cricket khelne aye hain Guru? Yudh ladne nahin?" wrote Sidhu
Dhoni came to the crease at number 5 during the chase when CSK needed 69 runs off 25 balls, The former CSK captain again found himself trying to salvage a near-impossible situation. He scored 27 off just 12 deliveries, smashing three sixes and a boundary. Despite Dhoni's knock, CSK lost the clash by 18 runs.
CSK had a forgetful start in the IPL 2025; after winning the opener clash, the five-time champions lost their four consecutive matches of the tournament. CSK are currently ninth in the points table tally. CSK will now face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 11 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. MS Dhoni has scored 103 runs in five IPL outings at an average of 51.50 with a highest score of 30 not out.
