Lucknow Super Giants (SRH) star batter Nicholas Pooran apologises to teammate Ravi Bishnoi for dropping a catch of Travis Head on his ball during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The incident happened during the first ball of the sixth over when Bishnoi came to bowl. Travid Head tried to counterattack the spinner by playing a lofted straight drive. Pooran who was stationed at straight, failed to catch the ball and dropped a sitter. Here is the clip of the incident.
Head was playing on 35 runs when Pooran dropped his catch. However, Australia's star was unable to score big despite getting a lifeline as Prince Yadav picked his wicket in eighth over of the inning.
LSG shared a video on their social media platform after their five-wicket win against SRH, where Pooran can be seen apologising to Bishnoi for dropping that catch. Here is the video.
"Because 70(26) was not a good enough apology for Bishi" captioned LSG.
"I am apologizing, I dropped your catch. Of who? Of Travis L. I am really really sorry. You should be sorry. I hope it doesn't happen again" said Pooran
Nicholas Pooran was the highest run-getter in the SRH vs LSH clash as the batter smashed 70 off 26 while chasing 190 runs.
Coming back to the match, after being asked to bat, SRH failed to get a good start as they lost five wickets in just 15 overs, scoring 128 runs. Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers as he got two scalps on his two consecutive deliveries of third over. He picked up destructive batter Abhishek Sharma and last match centurion Ishan Kishan's wicket. Shardul was the stand-out performer for LSG, picking four wickets in his four-over spell that restricted SRH to just 190 runs.
LSG didn't have the best start to their chase as they lost Aiden Markram early. But thereafter, it was the effortless hitting from Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran that helped LSG to register their first win of the ongoing tournament.
