Story Highlights:

GT defeated RR by 58 runs to register their fourth consecutive win in IPL 2025.

GT will now face LSG in their upcoming IPL 2025 clash.

The Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill lavished praise on his teammates after registering a dominating 58-run win against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Gill accepted that his wicket made things tough for the franchise, but Sai Sudarshan and Jos Buttler batted amazingly to post a competitive total against the inaugural IPL champions.

Gill believes that the current GT can potentially chase down 20 any day of the week. Gill also gave credit to Rashid Khan for making his captaincy job easy.

"Good total on the board, it wasn't easy in the first 3-4 overs. The way Sai and Buttler batted was amazing. We'll take 220 any day of the week. And then our fast bowlers were very clinical to finish off the job. If you have difficulty in choosing the man of the match, it is a good problem for us to have. We are having a team where everyone contributes. Very pleased, when you have bowlers like Rashid it makes the captain's job easy. (On if the senior players bully him) Everyone is very nice to me" said Gill in post match presentation.

When asked if it's difficult to lead the team with senior players in it, the 25-year-old said the 25-year-old denied that praising Ishant Sharma.

"We have Ishi bhai (Ishant Sharma), who has played 100 Tests for us, everyone is nice" added Gill.

Coming back to match, Sai Sudharsan's 82 off 53, with explosive cameos from Jos Buttler (36), Shahrukh Khan (36), and Rahul Tewatia (24) propelled GT to a formidable 217/6. While bowling, GT bowled RR out for 159 in 19.2 overs to win the match.

After defeating RR, the Gill-led side dethroned Delhi Capitals (DC) to seal the top spot in the points table tally. GT will now face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming clash of the tournament, which will take place on April 12 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
