Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) successfully defended their title by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final on Sunday, May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After the big win, RCB fans were expecting to have a victory parade in Bengaluru to celebrate the victory.
No Victory for RCB's IPL 2026 win
However, RCB have decided against holding a victory parade in the city to avoid any uncontrollable situation, which led to last year's unfortunate stampede. It is being said that RCB took this decision keeping in mind the swearing-in ceremony of newly-appointed Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

The function is set to take place at Lok Bhavan at 4:10 PM and the Governor's residence is in close proximity to the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The political event is expected to attract a huge crowd.
Amid the scenario, RCB felt that it was better to adhere to the police notification, avoiding public celebrations on city streets.
Bengaluru city police on Friday had issued an advisory urging the public to avoid bursting crackers, holding road celebrations, creating disturbances or engaging in fights if RCB win the IPL final.
“We have issued an advisory asking fans not to celebrate publicly on the streets and especially not to disturb peace and security," said the advisory.
“We will not allow any public celebrations. If anyone wants to celebrate, they can do it indoors,” Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh had said.
