Cricket Australia (CA) on August 3 announced their 16-member squad for the India tour feature three One-Dayers and two unofficial/Youth Tests. Two pacers from the One-Day Under-19 World Cup 2026 squad — Will Byrom and Kasey Barton—will feature in the lineup.
Under coach Tim Nielsen, the young Australian side will begin their subcontinent tour on September 18. The One-Day series will be played between September 18 to September 23 in Rajkot. The unofficial Tests will begin on September 27 and end on October 8 in Ahmedabad.
"We are really pleased to provide the opportunity to some of Australia's best young players to continue their development as part of our pathways program," Sonya Thompson, Cricket Australia Head of National Development, said in a statement.

"Touring India and playing against high-quality opposition in challenging conditions will be a valuable experience and test the players technically and mentally across formats."

Australia Under-19 squad vs India
Kasey Barton, Hayden Barbulovic, Eli Brain, Will Byrom, Black Cattle, Jack Czosnek, Spencer Green, Connon Gregory, Charlie Henderson, Zed Hollick, Matthew Logh, Neel Patel, Jacob Pietz, Patrick Sullivan, Theo Tsingos, Thomas Vaseo.
CA's Development squad in Chennai
Meanwhile, Cricket Australia's Development squad has already landed in Chennai. They are here for the annual MRF Academy Program. The squad features the likes of Joel Davies. They are set to play two multi-day matches on spin-friendly tracks. The first game will be played from August 5-6 followed by second from August 10-11.
Apart from Davies, who has already made his T20I debut, the squad features Australia’s Under-19 World Cup 2024-winning captain Hugh Weibgen Raf Macmillan was part of that squad as well. Macmillan claimed three wickets in the final against India. Australia's Under-19 World Cup 2018 captain Jason Sangha and his teammate Lloyd Pope are on tour as well.
