Cricket South Africa (CSA) have announced their squad for the three-ODI series against Namibia and the tri-series including Zimbabwe. 31-year-old left-arm spinner Bjorn Fortuin has been named captain in both formats in the absence of Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma. Also, their Test players Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansen, Corbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj have been rested.
Marco's twin, Duan Jansen has received his maiden call-up. Corbin's brother, Eathan, has been called up for T20Is for the first time as well. In addition, Connor Esterhuizen and Nqobani Mokoena have received maiden ODI call-ups. Hermann brothers, Jordan and Rubin, have been included in the squad as well.
"We saw glimpses of what Connor and Nqobani can offer during the T20I series against New Zealand earlier this year. It was unfortunate that Jordan picked up an injury in the opening match of that series, so we're looking forward to seeing him get another opportunity at this level," South Africa head coach Shukri Conrad said.

"This tour has also opened the door for players who have performed domestically. Duan is one of those players. He is a quality all-rounder who has also shown great character for the Titans."
The ODI series against ODI World Cup 2027 co-hosts Namibia will begin on September 9 and end on September 13. All three games will be played at Windhoek, Namibia Cricket Ground. Before the ODIs, the T20 tri-series will be played from August 28 to September 6.
The likes of Gerald Coetzee, Dian Forrester and Senuran Muthusamy were not considered for the Namibia tour. Instead, they will feature in the Marques Ackerman-led South Africa A squad for four-day and One-Day games against Bangladesh A.
