David Miller has equalled the all-time record for most One-Day International centuries scored batting at number five or lower on Sunday. The South African smashed a career-best 142 against Australia in the second ODI. Miller’s eighth hundred from the middle or lower order matched England’s Jos Buttler, surpassing MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, who have seven each.

Miller reached the landmark in 150 innings, fewer than Buttler’s 162. Coming in during a strong South African batting display at the Wanderers, Miller shared a substantial partnership with Temba Bavuma, who also scored a century. The pair helped propel the home side to a total of 365.
Miller accelerated impressively, bringing up his hundred off just 73 balls before going on to post his highest ODI score. Meanwhile, he also became the second player from his side to hit 150 sixes in ODIs. He has featured in 150 ODIs across his career from 2016 to 2026 so far. AB de Villiers is the only countryman ahead of Miller on the all-time list of ODI sixes.
