Navdeep Saini and Sumit Mathur's three fer followed by Siddhant Sharma, Money Grewal's two wickets haul helped Delhi to bundle out Railways on just 241 runs on Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy Elite 2024-25 clash at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. 

After being asked to bat, Railways failed to get a good start against Delhi as Siddhant Sharma picked up Anchit Yadav's wicket in the second over of the inning. Soon after Anchit's wicket, Navdeep Saini removed Vivek Singh on a duck. Railways were 66 for 5. Upendra Yadav was the lone warrior for the visitors as he scored 95 runs before Sumit Mathur picked his wicket in the 66th over. 

Kohli's towering presence on the field fired up players on both sides with an unprecedented fan attendance adding to the intensity.

With more than 12,000 people in the stands for a Ranji Trophy game that would be otherwise played in front of empty stands, Upendra made a big impact after the fine show by the Delhi Pacers.

Kohli who attracted a huge crowd in the Ranji match between Delhi and Railways was unable to bat as after Arpit Rana's wicket, Yash Dhull and Sanat Sangwan stitched a partnership of 30 runs before the end of Day 1. The former India captain was seen giving a pep talk to his team Delhi. 

At stumps, Delhi reached 41 for one in 10 overs.
