Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh recently talked about an incident from India's 2007–08 Australian tour in which he ended up donning the pink slip-ons of a Bollywood actress he was seeing at the time. Though he did not identify his ex when discussing the relationship, people are certain it was Deepika Padukone and are furious at the legendary cricketer. He recently spoke on a podcast with Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan in the episode "Yuvraj Singh becomes a Life-Time Member of Club Prairie Fire," reliving his favourite moments from his illustrious 17-year international career.
In response to a query from Gilchrist, the former player recalled becoming agitated during a confrontation with Andrew Flintoff on the pitch, after which he smashed six straight sixes off Stuart Broad at the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvraj continued by revealing hitherto unreported information from the Australian trip, during which Australia "bashed up" India every time till the historic 2008 tri-series victory.

“On the lighter side, there are some fun stories of the tour. I actually was dating an actress, I won't take her name…she's really good at the moment; a lot of experience! She actually was shooting in Adelaide. And I told her, 'Listen, let's just not meet for a bit because you know, Australian tour, need to focus',” said Yuvraj.
Yuvraj claimed that he was not overly happy that this nameless Bollywood star had followed him to Canberra, the capital of Australia. He felt that it would be better for the couple to concentrate on their careers after their lackluster run up until that point. The Indian team was leaving Canberra for Adelaide early one morning, the players' bags already sent, when he realized all of a sudden that his shoes were missing.
"I was like, 'Where are my shoes?' She goes, 'I think I packed them'. It was like 10 minutes for [us] to get in the bus. I was like, 'How am I gonna go in the bus?' And she said, 'Why don't you wear my shoes?' So she had these pink slip-ons, and I was like, 'Oh my God, so either I walk barefoot to the bus and to the airport to Adelaide or I go barefoot',” he recalled.
Despite the fact that his foot is three sizes larger, Yuvraj claimed he was forced to wear the size eight shoes. The southpaw was unable to conceal himself behind his luggage, and the entire team bus gave a derisive round of applause.
"I had to walk to the airport in pink slip-ons till I got to buy some flip-flops on the flight and just got fine," he said. The former cricketer is now facing a lot of backlash over his remark as fans believe he meant them for Deepika Padukone.
