South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been handed a demerit point by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after he breached the Code of Conduct during the second T20I of the three-match series against Australia. The 30-year-old gave a send-off to Ben Dwarshuis during the match and did so by pointing his finger towards the pavilion, signalling the batter to head back. The seamer had dismissed Dwarshuis for 12 runs during the 17th over of Australia's innings.
Bosch was found in a level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct and was thus punished by the ICC. The South African admitted to the offence that is why no formal hearing was held. Notably, this is his first offence in a 24-month period and that is why he wasn't handed a stricter punishment by the global body.
Bosch contributed very well in the bowling department
Meanwhile, Bosch gave quite a fantastic performance with the ball during the second T20I against Australia. He recorded figures of 3/20 in his three-over spell and played a key role in South Africa's rampant 53-run victory over the Baggy Greens at the TIO stadium in Darwin.
Coming to the match, South Africa batter Dewald Brevis played a sensational inning of 125 runs from just 56 deliveries to carry his side to a mammoth total of 218/7 in 20 overs. The 22-year-old broke tons of records with the explosive knock which was laced with 12 boundaries and 8 towering sixes. He smacked the Australian bowlers all around the stadium, who had no answer to his crafty shots.
In reply, the Baggy Greens' inning never really got going and no batter except for Tim David was able to record an individual score of over 30 runs. On the other hand, it was a fantastic bowling display by the Proteas as both Bosch and Kwena Maphaka took three scalps each, leading their side to bundle out the hosts for 165 runs and win the match by a big margin. This win was much-needed for Aiden Markram & Co. as they had lost the series opener by 17 runs.

This victory levelled the three-match assignment at 1-1 and now the winner of the series will be decided in the final match which will be held at the Cazalys stadium in Cairns on August 16.
