India head coach Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma are currently facing a lot of criticism after the Men in Blue lost 1-3 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia. Since India's five-Test match series defeat against Australia, many rumours are spreading across the internet.
In the midst of this, came a startling claim by a new report that India coach Gambhir took a player's name in the BCCI review meeting, who leaked news about the Indian dressing room. According to a video report by News 24, the player was Sarfaraz Khan. While addressing the rumour legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh suggested head coach to guide young Sarfaraz.
"Whatever has happened in the last few days, be it in Australia or after that...there are wins and losses on the field. But every day new stories should not come out of the dressing room. Today, there was a report that coach saab (Gautam Gambhir) has said Sarfaraz Khan leaked dressing room talks to media. If coach saab has said this, he should not have done so. If Sarfaraz Khan had done this in Australia, you are the coach, you could have talked to him then. He is a player, make him understand. He is a youngster, he will play for India in the future," Harbhajan Singh said on his YouTube channel.
Harbhajan also reckons that if Sarfaraz leaked the chats then it is wrong because the dressing room talks should not come out.

"Being a senior player, it's our duty to give wisdom to youngsters. If he (Gambhir) has said this, that Sarfaraz has leaked the news, and if the player has indeed done so, then it's wrong. Dressing room talks should not come out in the open. Gautam Gambhir is new to this job, he should be given time. The players should also get time to gel with the new system."
Harbhajan Singh who was the part of MS Dhoni-led ODI World Cup winning squad was furious about the fact that every single detail of BCCI's meeting was coming out in the open.
"Who's is doing this and why? You should not talk bad about your own family members in the open, that way your family's name gets tarnished," Harbhajan Singh said.
Sarfaraz who was part of India's Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 squad didn't play a single game in the five Test match series against Australia.
