Ravindra Jadeja refutes father's allegations about strained family relationships and misconduct by wife Rivaba in a social media statement.

Uncertainty surrounds Jadeja's availability for the Rajkot Test against England.

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has falsified his father Anirudhsinh's shocking claims in a post he shared on his social media platform. Anuridhsinh had alleged that his relationship with his son changed within months of marriage to Rivaba.

“All the things said in the nonsense interview given to Dainik Bhaskar are meaningless and false. This is just one side of the story which I reject. The attempt to tarnish the image of my wife is indeed condemnable and indecent. I also have a lot to say which is fine as long as I don't say it publicly,” the southpaw wrote on X.

Jadeja’s father’s shocking allegations

Anirudhsinh said in an interview that his son doesn’t call him despite residing in the same city. He went on to say that he wished Ravindra had not been married or become a cricketer.

“Do you want me to tell you one truth? I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don't call them, and they don't call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I don't get to see him. I don't know what magic his wife has done on him," Anirudhsinh was quoted as saying by Dainik Bhaskar.

"He is my son, and it burns my heart. I wish I hadn't gotten him married. It would have been better if he hadn't become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case."

Ravindra’s father even accused Rivaba of creating a rift in the family for monetary gains.

"Within three months of the marriage, she told me that everything should be transferred to her name. She created a rift in our family. She didn't want the family and desired an independent life. I could be wrong, and Naynaba (Ravindra's sister) could be wrong, but you tell me, how can all 50 members of our family be wrong? There's no relation with anyone in the family; there's just hate."

Question mark over Jadeja’s availability for Rajkot Test

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old is completing his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru. He sustained a hamstring injury in the Hyderabad Test against England. He missed the second Test in Visakhapatnam. While the squad for the remaining three Tests is yet to be announced, there is a question mark whether he will be available for the Rajkot Test or not.
