Champions Trophy 2025 Latest Updates: Less than 24 hours after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi reiterated that they are not open to hybrid model for ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Sports Tak has learned that back channel talks are underway to make them understand why it is the best option available.

As per a top ICC source, PCB is being cautioned about the consequences of hosting Champions Trophy without India. They have been told to refrain from making statements against India and prepare plans for the hybrid model.

In addition, the ICC is set to announce the schedule for the mega event in a couple of days.

"We are still in discussions with the host and participating members on the Champions Trophy schedule. It should be out soon, likely in a couple of days or so," the source told Sports Tak.

Naqvi open to address India's concerns

On November 18, Naqvi while inspecting the renovation work at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore told the local media that he is ready to address India's concerns and doesnt' see any reason why they shouldn't come to Pakistan for Champions Trophy.

"Every other team that has qualified for the Champions Trophy is ready to come. No one has any concern," Naqvi said.

"If India have any concerns, we will talk, and we will ensure that concerns are taken care of. I don't think there is any reason why India can't come to Pakistan.

"Hopefully, all the teams will come," he added.
