Australia speedster Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers for Australia on Day 1 of the ongoing second Test match against India at The Adelaide Oval. The star speedster picked up six wickets in a pink ball clash that helped the hosts to bundle out India on just 180 runs.
Starc got the first breakthrough on his first ball of the ongoing clash as he picked up India's left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal who smashed a century in the Perth Test where India defeated Australia by 295 runs. Starc's first delivery to Jaiswal got a late swing and it was pinned on the front leg adjacent to the sticks. Ball-tracking shows it to be pitching on leg and crashing into the stumps.

After India got all-out on 180 runs, Starc said that he had not visualised getting swing first-ball to Yashasvi Jaiswal.
"Not that much to be honest. Nothing really changes game by game, was a nice start" said Starc while chatting with match presenter.
While asked whether the conditions in Adelaide helped him to pick six wickets, the Australian speedster denied that.
"Certainly did not help the engine, got a bit cramped at the end. It [the pink ball] goes through weird patches, won't do much and then does go, day 1 you expect with a little bit of grass to do a bit, maybe with the forecast we have it dries out a bit later on but apart from the first hour when we were a bit wide we were good" added Starc.
Coming back to match, India's Nitish Kumar Reddy's was the highest run getter scoring 42 runs off 54 balls including three fours and three sixes. For Australia, Mitchell Starc got six wickets and Scott Boland got two and Mitchell Starc got two.
