Ayush Mhatre-led India Under-19 complete cleansweep on Australia tour with a seven-wicket win in second Youth Test on October 8. The second Youth Test was wrapped up within two days as India bowled out Australia for 116 and chased down the target of 81 in 12.2 overs.
India bowled out early on Day 2
Starting the Day 2 at 144/7 and a nine-run lead, the visitors lost Henil Patel in the second over. Deepesh Devendran hit Charles Lachmund for a six to make his intentions clear. He contributed with a 38-ball 28 featuring two fours and as many sixes. Naman Pushpak was the last to fall. He departed for a 17-ball duck to Julian Osbourne. India managed to take a 36-run lead.
Australia collapse again
Henil struck twice in his first over, removing Simon Budge and Zed Hollick for golden ducks. Udhav Mohan troubled Aussie batters. Captain Will Malajczuk was dismissed for a single-digit score. At the stroke of lunch, Henil dismissed Alex Turner as well. Australia were 19/3 after 11.3 overs.
On resumption, Mohan knocked over Yash Deshmukh. Alex Lee Young and Jayden Draper got rid of the trail. Draper lost his wicket in an unfortunate manner. He got out hit wicket for a 27-ball 15. The half-centurion of first innings, Lee Young led the fightback. Kasey Barton showed promise but lost his wicket to leg-spinner Pushpak for a 28-ball 19. He dismissed Lachmund and Will Byrom as well. Running out of partners, Lee Young got bowled for a 78-ball 38 to Khilan Patel. Australia were bowled out for 116 in 40.1 overs.
India finish run chase in a hurry
Mhatre got the run chase off to a positive start with three fours off first five deliveries. Vaibhav Suryavanshi failed to finish with a flourish and got out for a golden duck to Lachmund. On the first ball of the second over, Barton knocked over Mhatre.
Vihaan Malhotra and Vedant Trivedi dealt in boundaries. India crossed the 50-run mark in the eighth over. Malhotra contributed with a run-a-ball 21 before falling to Barton. On the second ball of the 13th over, Trivedi finished the run chase with a boundary. India won the match by seven wicket sin hand. Trivedi remained unbeaten for a 34-ball 29. On the other end, Rahul Kumar contributed with a 13-ball 12.
506 runs were scored in the game, the lowest in a Youth Test involving India and Australia.
Lee Young saved Australia from lowly total
Earlier in the game, Australia captain Malajczuk won the toss and opted to bat first. Lee Young's 66-run knock helped Australia post 135 on the board after losing half the side for 32. In reply, no India batter could score big but lower order helped them recover from early blows.

In the first Youth Test India won by an innings and 58 runs. India won all three youth ODIs as well.
