Bangladesh have moved to the 5th spot on WTC points table.

Pakistan's win percentage has dropped below 10.

On May 20, Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh scripted history at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium by beating Pakistan in second Test and completing cleansweep. Pakistan suffered a 78-run defeat, their third of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle. While Pakistan remained eighth on the points table, Bangladesh moved up, surpassing India and taking the fifth place.

With months to go into their Test series against West Indies in October, Bangladesh have a win percentage of 58.33. Meanwhile, Pakistan's third defeat in addition to an eight-points penalty for slow over rate in first Test has led to their win percentage falling below 10.

Changes expected in next month, India to play Sri Lanka in August

The WTC table may witness a shuffle when England go up against New Zealand in first Test of the series starting June 4 at Lord's, London. India will also play a one-off Test against Afghanistan but it is not part of the WTC cycle and won't amount to any points. Their next Test series is against Sri Lanka in August. West Indies will also have a chance to move up from the bottom as they host Sri Lanka for a Test series in June.
