The half's definitive moment emerged with Ferran Torres rattled a powerful strike off the crossbar, closely followed by an amazing reflex double-save from Cape Verd's veteran keeper, Vozinha, who brilliantly parried a goal-bound Mikel Oyarzabal's header to ensure the underdogs retreated down the tunnel firmly.
Stellar performance from Cape Verde
In the second half the game went in the similar tempo, as Cape Verde were defensively strong against the Spanish national team. Despite, Lamine Yamal's arrival off the bench in the 70th minute couldn't do any despite his relentless pressing in the final third of the pitch.
Cape Verde's disciplined attack refused the Spanish side to claim the three points, as the game ended on a 0-0 draw.
