Salah left the club as Merseyside’s third-highest goalscorer. The player was heavily linked with several clubs of Saudi Arabia following his bombshell interview last season. However, the player eventually decided to join the Turkish side, which will enter the Europa League playoffs after finishing third last season.

Salah arrived in Istanbul wearing the club’s colours to a warm reception from hundreds of fans before travelling on to Trabzon for his official unveiling. He is expected to wear the number 10 shirt. The former Reds player leaves the club as their third-highest all-time goalscorer and one of the Premier League’s most prolific foreign players.
