EXCLUSIVE - Merab Dvalishvili promises to take care of UFC Champion Sean O'Malley for Conor McGregor, says 'will fight him and.. punish him'

The number one contender for the UFC Bantamweight title, Merab Dvalishvili is next in line to challenge the champions Suga Sean O'Malley for his undisputed title. Ahead of the big match, the Georgian fighter has promised to the iconic Conor McGregor that he will take care of the ‘Sean problem’ for him and punish him. Recently, Conor got involved in a social media spat with O'Malley and the boxing icon Ryan Garcia after the boxer was tested positive for the use of the banned substance ostarine following his upset victory over Devin Haney. 

 

Conor McGregor calls out Sean O'Malley and Ryan Garcia

 

The former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor used to share a good bond with both Ryan Garcia and Sean O'Malley. However, the tides changed following Garcia's positive drug test. As Sean was tested positive for the same back in 2018, The Irishman called both of them out to spar and said he would humble both of them. This did not sit right with either Sean or Ryan who also replied back to Conor leading to the social media ruckucs.

 

Merab promises to take care of O'Malley for McGregor

 

In an exclusive conversation with Sports Tak, Merab Dvalishvili was asked about the recent rift between McGregor and O'Malley and he backed Conor on the matter and said the use of steroids in their sport is not right and he promised McGregor that he would take care of O'Malley on his behalf.

“Yeah, man, the cheating, it's not right, especially using some steroids or some stupid things in this sport. This is screwed up because we are punching each other in the face and you can really damage somebody with this, you know, this is very wrong. And Conor McGregor, you don't have to worry about this. I will take care of, I will take care of Sean O'Malley, you know. I know that Conor McGregor wants to sparring Sean O'Malley to punish him but it's okay. I will fight him and I will make him humble and I will punish him for that,” Merab Dvalishvili told Sports Tak.

 

Merab wants to box Ryan Garcia

 

Merab also talked about boxing Ryan Garcia. He said it will be an easy but historic fight for him which will also make him Millions of dollars. However, he also acknowledged that it depends on UFC to allow him to have this fight.

 

“why not? If I knock out Sean O'Malley, why not? Yeah, fighting Ryan Garcia, I will make millions of dollars and that would be good and that would be easy. That would be historic, historical for me. But we'll see. No, it's not easy. I don't know if UFC let me do this, but I would love to do it,” said Merab on Sports Tak.

 

As for now, Merab is likely to be the next in line to fight O'Malley for the Bantamweight title. He is currently on a 10-fight win streak, the second-best active win streak in the UFC currently. The date around this fight has not been confirmed yet but will most probably happen later this year.
