Christian McCaffery has been a pivotal player on the San Francisco 49ers' offense this season. They are currently placed third in the NFC West behind the Seahawks and the Rams with a 9-4 record, fighting for a berth in the playoffs. Kyle Shanahan and his team are set to take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 15.
However, fans of the 49ers got a problematic update about Christian McCaffrey ahead of this clash. As per a tweet by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the three-time All-Pro running back was placed as "questionable" in this week's injury report.
"The #49ers added RB Christian McCafffrey (back) to the injury report and he is questionable Sunday vs the #Titans," Rapoport tweeted.
This raised questions about McCaffrey's status, leaving fans concerned about how it would impact the result of their clash against the Titans. However, as per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the running back is "good to go" on Sunday despite the report.
McCaffrey was limited during practice on Thursday while getting fit from an illness. He came back as a full participant the next day, giving the 49ers hope of having him on the field. In 13 games, the running back has recorded 849 yards and eight TDs rushing.
Kyle Shanahan and his team had a bye in Week 14. Before that, they claimed a 26-8 win over the Cleveland Browns. In that game, Christian McCaffrey registered 53 yards and one touchdown rushing.

49ers insiders was left bewildered after the team's problematic update on McCaffrey for Week 15.
He posted a clip on X, where he shared his honest opinion on the situation.
"This is inc-freaking-credible," Cohn said. "The 49ers just added Christian McCaffrey to their injury report with a back injury. No explanation, no press conference, just one o'clock on a Saturday right before the game. So let's play detective. What really happened.
"Well we know, on Thursday, which is the Niners big practice of the week. ... Christian McCaffrey started the practice but didn't finish. He was limited. And the niners said he had an illness, whatever that means. Friday, at the walkthrough, he was out there, and Kyle Shanahan was asked ... is McCaffrey good to go? He said yes. .... So it's a back injury that happened, I'm guessing, we will hear their side of the story. ... But it seems like it may have happened in that Thursday practice."
The 49ers will lock horns with the Titans on Sunday at 4:25 pm ET.
