With free agency moves already shaking up rosters, all eyes now shift to Green Bay as NFL teams prepare to select from this year’s standout college talent. How the Draft Process Works

A pick per round across seven rounds is almost always given to the 32 teams unless traded off one with another. The selection order follows the reverse of last season's standings - meaning the team with the worst record picks first, and the reigning Super Bowl champions select last.

Who Has the No.1 Pick in the 2025 Draft?

Initially, the New England Patriots were lined up to select first, but a surprise win over a weakened Buffalo side pushed them down to fourth in the order. With three teams finishing the season on just three wins, the strength of schedule came into play.

Final order for the top three picks is:
1. Tennessee Titans
2. Cleveland Browns
3. New York Giants

In particular, the Titans are in headlines as they wish to resolve their quarterback woes with Will Levis struggling to solidify his position and backup Mason Rudolph returned to Pittsburgh.

Cam Ward Emerging as Likely No.1 Pick

Cam Ward, who shone during his pro day, has made a case for himself to be the No.1 pick. "I told them I was solidifying it today," Ward said after dazzling the Tennessee staff.

Incredible numbers were the hallmark of the 22-year-old quarterback's last season—39 touchdowns in college football, the top number, and second in passing yards with 4,313. A strong five-year college career has now made Ward at the top of most draft boards as an Incarnate Word and Washington State boy.

Shedeur Sanders was the early pick but Ward gave his contention with his outstanding season ahead of draft night.

Other Top Prospects to Watch

 Shedeur Sanders (Quarterback, Colorado)
NFL legend Deion Sanders' son, Shedeur, completed his passes for 74.0% - the best in college football. He learned the game from his father both at Jackson State and Colorado, leading the Buffaloes to a pretty decent record of 9-4.

 Travis Hunter (Cornerback/WR, Colorado)
The genuine two-way prodigy Jones made history as he played meaningful time on both sides of the football. The last player to dominate in such a way was the Heisman winner, putting him in the comparisons against Deion Sanders, while scouts are divided if he would be the offense or defense in the NFL.

Abdul Carter (Pass Rusher, Penn State)
With 12 sacks and 68 tackles last season, Carter has proven to be the best defensive talent in the class, and he is expected to be among the first defenders off the board.

Know More Names

Ashton Jeanty (RB, Boise State) - Heisman finalist
Dillon Gabriel (QB, Oregon)- Strong late season showing
Jalen Milroe & Jaxson Dart (QBs)- Both Day 2 prospects
Will Campbell & Armand Membou (OL)- Anchors for any team needing protection
Mason Graham & Jalon Walker (DL/LB)- Very strong defensive prospects who could go early

As the first round approaches, teams finalize decisions that could make or break their future. Are the Titans set to have Cam Ward lead their rebuilding efforts? Or will another contender stir things up?
