Gronkowski Denies Comeback Speculations

According to Cecil Lammey of DenverSports, Gronkowski is "considering a return to the NFL" and has identified the Broncos as a potential destination. According to Lammey, Gronk has been working out in Vail, Colorado, and has significant family links to Denver. However, NFL insider Ian Rapoport quickly downplayed the rumor, calling it "nonsense."

Gronkowski was asked about the rumours, and the star player made it clear that he has no plans to return.

"Crazy bro. They must know something about me that I don't," Gronkowski told FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz. "I wish I still had those powers because that would be cool if I did. But I was just in Australia for a few days. Now it's time to relax a little. No football"

Despite his joking remarks on the Dudes-on-Dudes podcast, where he said football might be "easier" than his current media career, Gronkowski highlighted that he is happily retired.

It should be noted that Gronkowski retired for the second time in June 2022, after winning four Super Bowls and amassing 9,286 receiving yards and 92 touchdowns. While he resurfaced briefly in 2020 to play with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he appears to be done for good at this point, as he is in his mid-30s. Thus, given his age and a long record of ailments, he will have a difficult time surviving for an extended period.

If Gronkowski remains retired, he will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2027, where he is likely to be a first-ballot inductee. If he is not on the football field, viewers can still catch him as a broadcast presenter on FOX NFL Sunday and FOX NFL Kickoff.
