The quarterback for Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurt has given a 3-word message to his critics ahead of the Super Bowl 59 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 9 at the New Orleans. What did Jalen Hurts message to his critics is?

During the 2022 Super Bowl, the Chiefs narrowly managed to defeat the Eagles (38-35) and lifted the Lombardi Trophy for the third time in the history of the franchise. Two years later, the same teams are back in the Super Bowl as the Chiefs look to extend their run as champions and complete a three-peat.

Most of the fans want the Eagles to win the title but have little faith due to the gap between Hurts and Mahomes as quarterbacks. Both teams have an extremely talented roster. But the skill factor and experience between the signal-callers would prove to be the difference in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

However, the doubts surrounding the ability of Hurts to lead the Eagles to victory over Mahomes and the Chiefs only serve as a motivational factor for the quarterback. He was recently asked what his thoughts are towards his critics and he responded,

It's no secret.

An insight into Jalen Hurts mindset

Heading into the NFC championship game against the Washington Commanders, the Eagles had the second-fewest passing yards in the league. They only averaged 177.9 per game and were one of the two teams with under 180 alongside the New England Patriots (176.9).

There were doubts whether Hurts might be able to perform when the chips are down but he made sure he responded accordingly to the critics as he had a fantastic game against the Commanders. He registered 20 of his 28 pass attempts for 246 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded 16 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries in Philadelphia's (55-23) victory.

After the game, the Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni praised the quarterback and said,

I know this, and he’s said this plenty of times: [Jalen Hurts] doesn’t care how we win. I don’t care how we win, as long as we win. We do everything we can do to be able to win... We had to win a different way this game, and we did.

We showed that we can win in multiple ways. I think that shows the type of team we have and the type of selflessness we have on our team, starting with Jalen.

The only thing that matters for Jalen Hurts is to win trophies with the Eagles as they have lifted two conference titles in the past three seasons.
