After a difficult 2025 season, A.J. Brown's future with the Philadelphia Eagles continues to be a big topic in the NFL. Recent comments from team insiders indicate that Brown and the Eagles may still be together for the 2026 season.

A.J. Brown's future in limbo

NFL analyst Derrick Gunn has been positive about the possibility of Brown returning in 2026.

He told 97.5 The Fanatic, "Let me emphasize as we sit here right now talking, the Eagles want A.J. Brown in an Eagles uniform in 2026."

Howie Roseman, the Eagles' general manager, discussed the situation on January 16.
He mentioned that even though there have been public signs of frustration from Brown about the team's offensive performance, the Eagles have long-term plans to keep him. Roseman firmly denied rumors that the team is thinking about cutting Brown, saying they have no intention of letting him go.

Gunn also disagreed with reports that Brown no longer has a connection to the team.

"I believe he never really wanted to leave. He shows his feelings openly. He was frustrated not just because he wasn't getting the ball more, but because the offense was as inconsistent as it was. Some people handle their emotions differently, and in several instances, that was the case with A.J. However, A.J. has always wanted to be here. He just wanted the offense to perform at the level it did in 2024," he said.

Disappointing season for A.J. Brown

Despite having one of his worst seasons in 2025, Brown still managed to gain 1,032 yards and score seven touchdowns.

He also missed out on the team's first-ever Pro Bowl and All-Pro honor.
