Tom Brady was visibly disappointed that his alma mater, the Michigan Wolverines faced defeat against the Ohio State Buckeyes at home on Saturday.
Following the shameful 27-9 loss against Ryan Day's team, the retired seven-time Super Bowl champion posted a story on Instagram dedicated to Michigan. Brady did not restrict himself when he said that the result of the game did not help them. Although, he is hopeful that Sherrone Moore's team will come back stronger.
Tom Brady accompanied the caption with a photo of the Michigan marching band on the field.
"It didn't go our way, @umichfootball, but you rise and fight again."
This defeat brought an end to Michigan's four-game winning streak against the Ohio State Buckeyes. They finished the year with a 9-3 (7-2 Big Ten) record while being eliminated from the 12-team playoff contention.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood struggled to find any attacking momentum against the Buckeyes. He finished the game just eight of 18 passes for 63 yards and an interception. The Wolverines found themselves on the scoreboard thanks to three field goal conversions by Dominic Zvada.
Meanwhile, Ryan Day's team stays defeated with a 12-0 (9-0 Big Ten) record. They will take on the undefeated Indiana Hossiers in this year's Big Ten championship game with the hopes of fighting for the national championship.
Tom Brady played for Michigan from 1995 to 1999. He redshirted his freshman campaign as the backup to Brian Griese. The former quarterback register a total of 4,773 yards and 30 TDs passing. The Patriots then drafted him with the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL draft.

On Saturday, Brady was in Ann Arbor to display his support for Michigan in their regular-season finale against the 2024 national champions. Before the game, the retired quarterback got the chance to reunite with his former New England Patriots coach, Matt Patricia.
Both Brady and Patricia met each other with a warm hug. He was a part of the Patriots coaching staff from 2004 to 2017 and won three Super Bowls with Brady. This season, he was brought in by Ohio State as their new defensive coordinator.
The Ohio State vs Indiana Big Ten Championship game is set to be played in Indianapolis on Saturday, December 6, at 8 pm ET.
