According to reports, San Diego’s asking price could include one of New York’s budding cornerstones: catcher Austin Wells, shortstop Anthony Volpe, or outfielder Jasson Dominguez. Each represents a pillar of the Yankees’ future. Wells, 25, dazzled as a 2024 Rookie of the Year finalist. Volpe, 23, has drawn comparisons to Derek Jeter for his poised defense and leadership.
