Like many Major League Baseball (MLB) fans around the world, National Football League (NFL) legend Tom Brady is looking forward to the World Series clash between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. While Brady hasn't revealed which team he is supporting in the much-anticipated clash, the former quarterback hopes to see a lengthy, hard-fought battle between both franchises.

What did Tom Brady say on this matter?

Tom Brady was accompanied by his former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick on the episode on Let's Go with Jim Gray. Brady said he was hoping for a seven-game thriller and won't mind if the New York Yankees have been crowned as champions.

"I'm rooting for a seven-game series. I don't know if I'm rooting for anyone but it's pretty great when the Yankees win it," Brady said.

While growing up, the quarterback for the Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheered for San Francisco Giants as they were his hometown club. This can be one of the reasons why Brady has sided with the Yankees as the Giants are one of the biggest rivals of the Dodgers.

"What a great series. Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, you've got all the stars. This is one I think a lot of people are going to be watching, I can't wait to watch," Brady added.

While Brady has still not mentioned who he will be supporting in the seven-game thriller, he did acknowledge the fact that it could become an instant classic due to the big players involved in it. From the likes of Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge to Juan Soto and Mookie Betts, there is no shortage of superstars that will feature in the World Series.

Tom Brady could have found success in baseball had he pursued a career in it

Tom Brady is arguably the best quarterback in NFL history but things could have been different had he taken up the baseball route. Not many people know this, but Brady was picked by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB draft.

"I think he could have been one of the greatest catchers ever," Expos GM Kevin Malone told Bleacher Report.

Although Brady decided to pursue his career in the NFL, he was considered as a talented catching prospect. Even the Expos GM Kevin Malone feels the same.
