The star player for Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green was brutally honest while admitting about his infamous incident with former teammate Jordan Poole at a practice session.

What did Draymond Green say about this matter?

The four-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion knocked the guard out during one of the discussions in the 2022 preseason. This killed the team's chemistry and further, it prevented them from defending the championship they recently won.

During an interview with Andscape, Green revealed that he was tired after the championships, his media commitments and all the success that came along in that moment.

The question asked to Green was, "Did you get jaded with championships, the TNT television job, commercials, money, etc.?

He replied, "Yes. And family. A lot changed. And when those things are changing, you go through something like that, you end up distancing yourself further. I was already distancing myself naturally. I got four kids. I’m trying to build a business and all the things naturally."

Draymond Green mentioned that the incident involving Jordan Poole was bad and he felt that it was the right thing to do at the moment.

"Then [Poole] happened and I’m like, ‘I really just gotta do my own thing, stay to the side, stay out the way.’ I’m not sure that was the right thing either. But during when it was going on, that’s what feels right. Hindsight is 20/20. We always look at something like, ‘If I would’ve knew this then, I would’ve did X’," Green added.

"So, at that time, that’s what felt right to me. I can’t sit here and tell you that it was right. But what I can tell you is that ain’t the right thing for me personally. I’m not a loner by any stretch of the imagination. I don’t know how people do that," Green further added.

Draymond Green on playing with Klay Thompson for the first time

In an interview with ESPN, Green shared his views on playing against Klay Thompson for the first time in their careers. Thompson joined the Dallas Mavericks in the offseason and ended his 13-year-long relationship with the Warriors.

Green channelled his inner Mamba Mentality and sent a warning to Thompson. "I'm going to run through his chest. Because I used to run through my older brother's chest when we played," Green concluded.

Golden State Warriors will take on Dallas Mavericks for the first time this season on 12th November. Thompson will return to the Chase Centre for the first NBA Cup game for the Mavericks.
