Rather he has taken a U-turn on what he had said earlier about the Lakers' rookie and admitted that he was wrong about him. However, Smith's changed stance on Bronny has nothing to do with the reproof from James. So, what made the outspoken analyst retreat from his earlier opinion? It is the performance that matters in the end. Junior James made the most of the opportunity he was presented with on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Bronny James Delivers Career Best Performance For The Lakers
The Lakers were severely hit by injuries ahead of the game against the Bucks and entered the Crypto field without the primary squad. From Luka Doncic, and LeBron James to Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves, all were absent in the game due to respective injuries. Hence, the focus shifted to the reserves to stand up and show up what they got on the big stage. Stephen A. Smith Admits He Was Wrong About Bronny James
Bronny posted a career-high 17 points, three rebounds, five assists, and one block in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. With his performance, James silenced many of the naysayers and received praise from his biggest critic Stephen A.
"I was very impressed, I was very impressed because I saw an elevation in his level of confidence and poise. It didn't really faze him, he didn't look as nervous as he had looked in previous appearances on the basketball court. He looked like somebody that belonged...this is the big picture here that I wanna bring up, I might have been wrong."
The performance by Bronny did shut many knowers of the game, and as he finally showcased his mettle on the floor, the recognition came from many ends. It likely took a lot from Smith to admit he was wrong. Smith normally sticks to his guns on subjects, but he deviated from things on this subject.
