On Monday, head coach Stephanie White provided with a major update on Sophie Cunningham. The star has started practicing with the team and has started her recovery process. The franchise are taking their time with Sophie Cunningham in order to prevent any future setbacks.

She (Cunningham) was a little limited today and it's seeing how they do in certain drills and certain actions, getting them back into game condition again, White told reporters. This is an injury that she's aggravated a few times now this season. So making sure we're playing the long game and doing it the right way.

Cunningham has traveled with the team despite her ankle injury. In the previous two games for the Fever, both Cunningham and Caitlin Clark were missing from the action but they cheered for their teammates from the sideline. Till now, Sophie Cunningham has missed four of the eight games that the team has played.

In the four games that she has played, Cunningham showed her defensive class and even her ability of 3-point shooting. During those matches, she averaged 6.5 points on 36.4% shooting from the deep, along with 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
