According to what was told to ESPN by the franchise’s league sources, James is expected to stay with JJ Redick’s side until the end of this season. Additionally, according to James’ longtime friend and agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, he said on his "Game Over" podcast in December that the three-time Olympic gold medalist would not be seeking a trade.
Rich Paul further said that James would want to finish his record-setting 23rd season in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the LA guard has a no-trade clause, and the franchise would have to seek approval from the player if it could try to open any trade talks.
