The Dallas Mavericks left the whole world stunned after trading star player Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers on Sunday. The decision left the Mavericks' fans in complete disarray and while more than 48 hours passed since the shocking move transpired, many enthusiasts are still trying to wrap their heads around the fact that Luka is no longer a Maverick.

Luka Doncic Was Shocked After Learning About His Trade Development
Much like the fans the sudden transfer also left the main protagonist of the saga shocked. Doncic revealed that it was hard for him to believe the development as he intended to stay with the Mavericks until the end of his career.
"Honestly, it was hard at first,” Doncic said. “That first day was really hard. I felt like these last 48 hours was one month. Emotionally, it was really hard, but today was much better."

Mavericks to Give Refund to Fans
While the Mavericks brought a superstar in the form of Anthony Davis in exchange for Doncic, supporters are upset that Doncic was traded away apparently out of nowhere. To palliate the anger and disappointment, Mavericks have decided to give its fans a respite. In a stunning turn, Dallas revealed that they will be offering refunds to their remaining home games for their season-ticket holders.
"The Dallas Mavericks have offered refunds for the remaining home games this season to fans who have canceled their season tickets plans. It's valued around $2,000," Abby Jones of DLLS Sports reported in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Luka Doncic To Play For LA Lakers Alongside LeBron James
After spending almost, a decade as a Maverick, Luka Doncic will now open a fresh chapter of his career. He will play alongside NBA legend LeBron James. It would be a spectacle for the fans to witness the two generational talents playing together and heaping points against their opponents. Doncic is still recovering from the Calf injury he suffered in December 2024 but is expected to return to the court soon. As per ESPN's Shams Charania, Luka Doncic could make his debut for the Lakers this Saturday against the Pacers.
