Steph Curry to partner with Nike?

Since then, he has been trying on and flexing different sneakers in his collection. The Dubs star is the biggest commodity that every brand is aiming to get their hands on. On Tuesday, an X user claimed that Curry is signing a 10-year $890 million with Nike.

"NBA superstar Stephen Curry is aiming to sign a 10-year, $890 million deal with Nike one of the largest athlete endorsement contracts in history. The deal includes signature shoes, apparel, and global marketing rights, cementing Curry as both a basketball legend and a cultural icon. He will be joining LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Cristiano Ronaldo as a Nike centerpiece," the post read.

The post featured a graphic of warriors with a "Breaking" template. While the news has fooled many fans, it is nothing more than an engagement bait post by a parody account.

Neither Nike nor Steph Curry have made any official confirmation yet regarding their partnership. As of now, the Warriors star has kept his routes open and is yet to sign with any sneaker brand.

Steph Curry wears On sneakers to warm up during sneakers free agency

Steph Curry is having a great time in his sneaker free agency to the full extent. The Warriors star has tried various sneakers including Nike, Adidas and Reebok as he is no longer under obligation to wear his curry brand sneakers by Under Armour.

On January 20, the Warriors star wore Roger Federer's signature On sneakers during practice. Although, Curry did not wear the same sneaker during the game as On makes sneakers only for tennis, running, and lifestyle. The Dubs faced a 145-127 defeat against the Raptors that night. Curry amassed 16 points in the loss.

Steph Curry's decision to leave Under Armour was a mutual decision agreed to by the brand and the player. The Warriors icon keeps the right to his signature line, the Curry Brand.

Nike and Adidas in race to sign Steph Curry

The next sneaker company to sign him will have the rights to manufacture sneakers under the Curry Brand's banner. While several brands are aiming to land the Warriors star at their camp, Nike and Adidas are the top contenders in the race.
