OKC humiliated the 17-time NBA Champions with a large margin that resulted in 121-92. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 30 points, nine assists in three quarters, while Isaiah Joe added 21 points to extend the winning streak. Meanwhile, Lakers star Austin Reaves had this very disappointing but hilarious reply about the results.

During a post-match conversation with Sportsnet, the Lakers guard shared his thoughts on the big loss. Reaves said: 

“Just to be blunt, they beat the s—- out of us tonight”

Reaves, who was averaging 30.3 points before this game vs OKC, recorded 13 points on 4-for-12 shooting. The Lakers are without superstar LeBron James, who hasn't played a single game this season. The 40-year-old was also sidelined for the entire pre-season. In his absence, Reaves, along with Luka Doncic, has constantly carried the franchise. However, they fell short in front of the outstanding Thunder side. 

Doncic, who joined the team in February 2025 mid-season in a mind-blowing trade, recorded 19 points on 7-for-20 shooting. Ahead of entering this game, the Slovenian was averaging 37.1 points. For Thunder, Lu Dort was ruled out following an upper right trapezius strain, but the team managed to blow JJ Redick’s side in his absence.
