A bold move further along is the Fever getting guard Sophie Cunningham in a multi-team deal involving the Phoenix Mercury and the Dallas Wings.

The Fever's rookie sensation has quickly made herself virtually the most talked-about player in the entire league.

One of WNBA's big liberties was hiring Stephanie White as the new head coach of the Fever. White had been coaching the team from 2014 to 2016 and has a lot of experience in her bag. She comes with a fresh perspective to the Fever. Fans are thus expecting a turnaround with her leading the way.

Off-season high energy dunes have entered Indiana Fever, sweeping changes in coaching and roster. They clearly want to move out of any misery with a New Head Coach and a blockbuster trade as back-up for ensuring they put in place a competitive squad that will make a difference in the WNBA competition ahead.

Blockbuster Trade Bringing Sophie Cunningham to Indiana

A bold move further along is the Fever getting guard Sophie Cunningham in a multi-team deal involving the Phoenix Mercury and the Dallas Wings. The trade involved the former no. 2 overall pick Satou Sabally moving from Dallas to Phoenix while the Wings received Ty Harris as a point guard along with Mikiah "Kiki" Herbert Harrigan's rights, and forward NaLyssa Smith from Indiana. The Fever also traded this year's no. 8 pick to Dallas but brought back Cunningham and no. 19 pick.

Her high-octane game and outside shooting will definitely bolster the Indiana backcourt. It's her activities off the court that have already thrown her into the limelight. Shortly after signing with the Fever, Cunningham got attention when she wryly referred to incoming rookie wonder Caitlin Clark as Taylor Swift, with herself as pop star Sabrina Carpenter.

“I told people upstairs I will be her Sabrina Carpenter any day to her Taylor Swift,” Cunningham touted, referring to Clark's ever-growing star and, therefore, the media attention that comes along with it.

Caitlin Clark: WNBA's Taylor Swift 2.0?

Stephanie White, head coach, would further fuel that comparison, thanks to her remarks on Clark's humility in the mess. "She's incredibly humble, understands the big picture, and manages it all so gracefully. She's very much Taylor Swift 2.0," said White.

The Fever's rookie sensation has quickly made herself virtually the most talked-about player in the entire league. At present, a new level of excitement is going to be added to Fever games from this point onwards.

Bright Dawn for a Fresh Start for Indiana Fever

This really makes a clear statement about their offseason moves and what their real questions were: Are they serious about being competitive? With White being experienced and together with the new acquisitions such as Cunningham that support Clark, Indiana is up for a much stronger season. A totally changed roster given a life injection has fans optimistic about the Fever's return to playoff contention.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Indiana, with the upcoming competition promising to translate these changes into court success. The Fever should have a fantastic WNBA season in store with a combination of veteran leadership, younger talent, and an emerging star in Caitlin Clark.
