In what was another dominating win for India A in the Men's Emerging Asia Cup, the side pushed aside Nepal by nine wickets to secure their second-straight win in the competition in Colombo on Monday, July 17. Guided by an all-round performance with both bat and ball, India A now top the group with an impressive net run rate of 3.792.

It was complete dominance by the Indian batters, Sai Sudharsan and Abhishek Sharma were in fine form during their whole batting innings and built an opening partnership of 139 runs.

Needing just 167 runs for the win, the two batters surely did not have any pressure on their shoulders and took 22.1 overs to reach this target. Sudharsan remained unbeaten with 58 runs in 52 balls, with 8 fours and a six to his name.

Abhishek Sharma was in a more aggressive made than his Gujarat Titans (GT) counterpart. He smashed 87 runs in 69 balls, with 12 fours and 2 sixes to his name. The two took the side to 139 runs before skipper Rohit Paudel broke the deadlock in the 19th over.

Dhruv Jurel joined the party with Sudharsan and displayed the striking ability that saw him shining for Rajasthan Royals (RR) this season. Jurel smashed 21 runs in just 12 balls, with a four and 2 sixes to his name.

Earlier, Nepal A were reeling at 90/6 after pacers Harshit Rana and Rajvardhan Hangargekar took five of the six with Sindhu getting the other one. Kushal Bhurtel (0), Aasif Sheikh (7) and Dev Khanal (15) had 22 runs between them, after which skipper Rohit Paudel played a calculated innings of 65 runs in 85 balls with 7 fours to his name but was one of the wickets for Sindhu.

Gulsan Jha was the other Nepal batter with a contribution worth mentioning in the whole match. He hit 38    runs in 30 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes to his name. But he was one of four scalps for Nishant Sindhu, who also got the wickets of Pawan Sarraf (6) and Lalit Rajbanshi (3).
