Story Highlights:

India won the toss and opted to bat first against Oman in their Asia Cup Group A clash

Here are the playing XIs of both the team:

IND vs OMA, Asia Cup 2025: India take on Oman as Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bat first in their last group stage match in Abu Dhabi on September 19.

India made two changes to their line-up as Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy walked out of playing XI to accommodate Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.

What did the captains say at the toss?

Right after winning the toss, India skipper Suryakumar said:

"We are looking to bat first. We have not batted first in this competition and we want to know our depth. Having game time is important going into the Super 4s. We want to continue the good habits we are doing in the first two games and want to continue to do that. It is looking nice and our openers will assess it further. We have two changes - Harshit comes in, one more guy comes in, I have become like Rohit (laughs)."

Meanwhile, Oman captain Jatinder Singh, after losing the toss, said:

"I would have batted first. It is a great experience to take from here. Our team is young, lack exposure but this gives them a good chance to come here and test themselves. It is a great opportunity to share the field with India and get a look at their mindset. We have two changes."

Pitch Report

"Good pitch. Played well yesterday and it's a similar pitch being used. Nice sprinkle of grass, but underneath it's dry. Not much spin but you can attack in powerplay. Abu Dhabi produces best limited-overs pitches (in UAE)," Waqar Younis and Ravi Shastri analysed the pitch.

India have already qualified for the Super Four, having won their first two matches against United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan. The Men in Blue bulldozed UAE by nine wickets while they crushed Pakistan by 7 wickets. India will take on Pakistan in the Super Four clash on September 21.
