Harry Brook shatters Virat Kohli's record

Leading the ODI series in the absence of the injured Jos Buttler, Brook has been in exceptional form. He previously scored a century and a half-century in the series. In the fifth ODI, Brook continued his impressive run with a 72-run knock off just 57 deliveries. This took his series tally to 312 runs, surpassing Kohli's previous record set in 2019. Former India captain MS Dhoni holds the third position on the list with 285 runs scored against Australia in 2009.

Ben Duckett wreaks havoc with a splendid century

Australia's Travis Head delivered his best bowling performance in ODIs as they fought back to dismiss England for 309 runs in the series-deciding match at Bristol. England, chasing a big total after a century from Ben Duckett (107 off 91 balls) and a half-century from Harry Brook, lost their last eight wickets for just 107 runs.

Part-time spinner Head played a crucial role, taking four wickets for 28 runs. Wicketkeeper Josh Inglis also contributed with a fine stumping and two catches. Adil Rashid's late cameo helped England surpass the 300-run mark before he was dismissed. England, having trailed 2-0 in the series, are now looking to complete a comeback victory against the world champions.

Harry Brook's impressive century in the third ODI helped England reduce Australia's lead to 2-1. In the fourth ODI, Brook scored another half-century as England secured a significant 186-run victory. Australia, led by Steven Smith, won the toss but quickly found themselves behind as Phil Salt aggressively attacked the Australian bowlers. However, Salt's innings was cut short by a well-timed catch from Marnus Labuschagne.

Harry Brook continued his excellent form, hitting three boundaries and seven sixes against the Australian bowlers. He reached his half-century in just 39 balls and continued to dominate until he was eventually dismissed by Adam Zampa. England's Liam Livingstone was dismissed for a duck, but Liam Duckett completed his second ODI century, contributing significantly to England's total. However, Duckett's innings ended shortly after hitting a six.

Later, Australia ended up winning the match by 49 runs via DLS method to clinch the series 3-2.
