After the presentation ceremony, Captain Suryakumar Yadav chose to step aside, allowing Rinku and Jitesh to lift the trophy. This tradition was initiated by MS Dhoni in 2007 after India won the inaugural T20 World Cup and has been carried on by players like Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. Abhishek Nayar expressed his delight about the tradition continuing, mentioning it on JioCinema.

"It's great to see this tradition continuing. Suryakumar Yadav has passed the trophy to Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma. They are now, I believe, calling the support staff," said Nayar.

The highlight of the match was the final over when India's Arshdeep Singh had to defend 10 runs against Australia. Arshdeep remained composed, allowing only three runs and taking the crucial wicket of Matthew Wade, securing a six-run victory for India. His exceptional final over was praised as the turning point in India's win.

Although Australia started strong with openers Travis Head and Josh Philippe, India's bowlers, led by Mukesh Kumar and supported by Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi, maintained pressure throughout the innings.
