Former India captain Virat Kohli has added another feather in his cap becoming the fastest batter to score 27000 runs in international cricket.

Former India captain Virat Kohli became the fourth batter to score 27000 runs in his international cricketing career. With this Kohli became the fourth batter to reach this milestone after Sachin Tendulkar,  Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara. Kohli broke the record of India's batting great Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest batter to reach 27000 runs. He took  594 innings to reach this milestone 29 innings faster than Tendulkar, who got there in in 623 innings in 2007. Sri Lankan Sangakkara achieved the mark in 2015 in his 648th innings while Ponting scaled the mark in his 650th outing for Australia.

Virat Kohli also breaks Cheteshwar Pujara's record

Virat Kohli surpassed India veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara in the list of Indian batters with the most runs in the India vs Bangladesh Tests. Pujara has scored 468 runs against Bangladesh in the longest format of the game.

Coming back to the match, India managed to bundle out Bangladesh on 238 runs where Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers with three scalps and Mominul Haque played an unbeaten knock of 107 runs for Bangladesh. While writing this copy, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are at the crease and India are leading by 13 runs. Indian captain Rohit Sharma along with fellow opener Yashasvi Jaiswal helped India to register the fastest team 100 in the history of Test cricket. Kohli departed after scoring 47 runs after he failed to judge Shakib Al Hasan's delivery.
