"As a captain, he has led us to four ICC events final, it is a big matter for the country. It is really big if someone plays this way for 15-20 years. I have watched him so closely, how hard he works during franchise and international cricket. He is right there at the top. I wish him luck for the final," Suryakumar said.

"India has been playing really well. If they continue to do so well, the final would be just another game. I would like everyone to perform well, from player number one to 15 and the support staff as well," he added.

Since assuming the leadership position, Rohit Sharma has led India to all four ICC finals: the Champions Trophy, the T20 World Cup, the ODI World Cup, and the World Test Championship. India advanced to the 2023 ODI World Cup final, the 2024 T20 World Cup final (which they won), and now the 2025 Champions Trophy final under his leadership.

Under Rohit's leadership, Suryakumar has flourished for the Indian team and Mumbai Indians in the IPL, and he attributed his success to his leadership. Suryakumar, who made a spectacular catch to remove David Miller during India's T20 World Cup final against South Africa, is well aware of Rohit's influence on the team.

Now, India is aiming for the Champions Trophy final in Dubai, where they will take on a formidable New Zealand team. India will enter the game as the favorites after defeating the Black Caps in the group stage. A fierce matchup is anticipated, though, as New Zealand is riding high following their decisive victory over South Africa in the semi-finals.
